cooking with StrangeBird

A challenge accepted...

For this recipe you are encouraged to sample as you go - adjusting quantities to suit taste and mood. Results will be varied, depending upon temperament and humidity.

Serves: 1 and only 1

1 cup sweetened condensed spirit
3 ripened portions of internal dialogue - peeled and roughly mashed
1 generous dollop of Aries impatience, dry roasted and flavored with haste (time permitting)
1 tablespoon thickened dreams
finely grated zest of 1 raw creativity
1 pinch of cynicism
2 tablespoons youthful hope
a splash of self doubt (watch your portion with this one!)
2 teaspoons feverish childs' blush - powdered
1/2 cup anxiety - finely grated
dash of perfection powder
large sprinkle of nuts
2 heaped tablespoons of faltering intuition
1 heaped teaspoon each of giggles, rants and cuddles
1 large heart
season to taste with fear and doubt

Using hands, mix together all ingredients until just combined.  Allow to ruminate on a sunny windowsill, immersed in the sounds of U2's 'Achtung Baby' played all the way through, twice.

Serve on a bed of fresh flannelette pajamas, garnished with a lovely red bloom and a side of thrice cooked chips. Enjoy!
